Abstract

Ethics, morality, and character are important values to instill in students. One way to instill these values is through project-based learning (PBL). PBL is a student-centered learning approach that gives students the opportunity to solve real-world problems through projects. This study aims to examine the implementation of PBL in general education courses (GE) and its implications for students' ethics, morality, and character. The study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The subjects of the study were students and lecturers of GE courses at Universitas Negeri Medan. Research data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that PBL can improve students' ethics, morality, and character. This is evidenced by the increased awareness of students to be honest, responsible, disciplined, cooperative, and environmentally conscious.
